A warm welcome to Welton Village Memorial Hall

Built and run for the local community

We are in the village of Welton in East Yorkshire, situated at the foot of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds and just off the A63 trunk road about 4 miles west of the Humber Bridge.

The Hall is fronted by a Georgian era house with a traditional Hall and stage at the rear. The Trustees have recently refurbished the Hall with modern toilets, heating, lighting, wifi and cinema screen and sound as well as a new Kitchen and Meeting Room.

The Hall will hold up to 200 people or 120 seated so is ideal for a wide range of uses. We currently host the Welton Community Cinema as well as a range of wellbeing, exercise and arts activities and providing premises for the Lucky Duck café and the Welton Memorial Club which is adjacent.We make an ideal setting for parties and family events. October 4 - Cortona Productions presents What Becomes...? A riotous comedy drama about the dating scene and how it can go so disastrously wrong, by Cortona Productions, which finishes with a join-in-if-you-want-to, Tamla Motown sing-a-long. HELP!

Welton Village Memorial Hall is a fantastic resource for our local community that is used for a wide range of events both public and private. This means that we can host events like last year's Cinderella. However the Hall is run mostly by a small team of Trustees who are all unpaid volunteers. We need more volunteers to help make sure that we can tell people about what we are doing. September 14 - Cinema Night - Wicked Little Letters

Starring Olivia Coleman, Jessie Buckley and Timothy Spall, this rioutous mystery comedy based on a true story is set in a 1920's seaside town where anonymous scandalous letters start appearing. Doors and bar open 7:00pm film starts at 7:30pm.

September 21 - 60's & 70's Night!

October 19 - Cinema Night - The Rocky Horror Picture Show [NOT 16 October] Starring Richard O'Brien, Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Meat Loaf, this classic, musical comedy, horror film continues to delight audiences. Appropriately planned for the Halloween season this '12A' rated film scored 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. Doors and bar open 7:00pm film starts at 7:30pm.

November 8 - Comedy Night After last year's succesful event we have a return from our compere with three more stand-up performers. More details to follow.

November 16 - Cinema Night - La La Land This 12A musical, romantic comedy, starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, may not have won the Best picture Oscar but it still won six Oscars as well as many other awards. It is areally entertaining watch, well worth seeing on the big screen. Doors and bar open 7:00pm film starts at 7:30pm.

December 11-14 - The Turpin Players presents Snow White and the Village People Our village pantomine team returns after last year's succesful start. Tickets just £10 each. Starts at 7:30 pm, doors open 7:00pm. Licensed Bar.

December 31 - New Years Eve party Featuring live band Ordinary Men, who were here for New Year's Eve 2022, and food and drink of course. More details to follow.

June 6 2025 - Third Wheel presents an Immersive, Interactive Event for your entertainment More details to follow.
