Hire the Hall

The Memorial Hall is available to hire and is ideal for many different one-off events including Children’s Parties, Birthday celebrations, Activity / Fun Days, Conferences, Wedding Receptions, Sales or Auctions, Public & Private Meetings, and Fundraising Events.

We also offer a great base for groups and organisations providing regular activities for the local community such as Dance classes, Drama classes, Exercise classes, Education groups (Art classes, local history, wildlife etc.), Training classes, After School clubs, Social clubs or groups, Pre-School groups and clubs.

We have a Main Hall with capacity for up to 200 [120 seated], a traditional stage, a separate meeting room and a kitchen as well as step-free access, baby-changing facilities, air-conditioned heating and a small carpark.

BOOKING is very simple using the Lemon Booking system, simply by selecting the date you want on our BOOKING CALENDAR . You can see which dates and facilities are available. Then then once you have made a selection you will see the full range of options and easily modify your booking, select any equipment you might need, and make a recurring booking if you need to. Below is a summary of our charges for one-off bookings. If you are running a regular event for the local community we do offer significant discounts. Simply make a booking and let us know what your plans are

When you have made a booking you will get an acknowledgement email and then a confirmation email when we have checked the details. We usually have the booking period open for up to two years ahead. If you want to book further ahead or at a time that might clash with another booking [eg when the calendar shows a Provisional Booking] at the time you want, then please contact our team at booking.weltonmemorialhall@gmail.com to see if other arrangements can be made. USE THE SAME EMAIL ADDRESS IF YOU HAVE ANY DIFFICULTY IN BOOKING WHAT YOU WANT

Because we have had a number of bookings cancelled at short notice we now ask hirers to pay a refundable deposit of £100 to secure the booking. This will be refunded in full after the event, as long as there is no damage and the Hall is left in a reasonable condition, or if the event is cancelled more than 60 days before your event. If there is less notice of a cancellation we will retain the booking cost and refund any balance as we are unlikely to be able to get a new booking at such short notice. The deposit must be paid within seven days for it to be confirmed or the booking may be cancelled. Payment for the actual events will normally be invoiced about one month beforehand. This will need to be paid before your event. Payments are usually by bank transfer, details for which will be on the invoice.
